I know from my personal show experience it was an amazing night I will never forget. The Madison show was phenomenal and hope the thoughts of Spotted Cow and good people will lure everyone back again.
YAY! i am so happy to read this! i suppose it is probably for the best that it was not a detailed account & opinion of what happened in las vegas, even though i was dying to hear about it.
The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is one of my favorite poetry books. i inherited a copy from my great grandma, along with a few more cool things. it’s one of my favorite books, for the poetry and for the art. especially the art revolving around death specifically.

As usual, very nice job Brady. It is always enjoyable to read your work, and to vicariously share a bit of your experiences while touring with the boys. It is very interesting to read of the happenings of the band on the road to the venues, to hear what hampers or lends a hand to the progress while we are all waiting on the sidewalks at those various locations eagerly awaiting our beloved “friends” arrival. We sit there and wonder, when will they arrive? What is taking so long? Are they sleeping in at the hotel today? Seldom do the good folks there consider the fact that it isn’t all fun and games on your part! But we have come to learn what industrious and hard working young men you all are, and can only hope that the friendly familar faces you find at various venues (along with the occasional gift given in the hopes of inducing those beautiful smiles) make it all worthwhile (that is besides the pure love of making the music.) Eagerly awaiting your next installment, and more importantly my next dose of that glorious Monkey drug i’ve come to depend on..lol

Great writing! The part about the little boy in the wagon with his parents really hit home for me. I’m in a senior seminar class right now for Relational Communication and there’s been much discussion on the effects technology is having on communication and the barriers that it is setting up (beginning with the habit of sitting a child down to be entertained). At times it can be necessary, but it seems to be getting out of hand.
Tonight even, at dinner with two friends, they pulled out their cell phones and entertained themselves while I sat there quietly waiting for them to put down the phones and engage in discussion and conversation. I sat there for a solid 4 minutes in silence! When did this become ok?
In reading, I hoped that the little one you wrote about figures out how to look beyond the screen he’s been placed in front of. While we can learn so much from technology, it can also be an interference in development of individuals and relationships. I’m really glad it’s not just Communication Majors who are aware of it, so Thanks!!
Also, thank you (and the band and crew) for sharing your insights to what life is like for you on this tour. I hope you’re met with safer travels, friendlier faces, and understanding.
